I have been playing pedal steel guitar for 30+ years. I played full time for
most of that time. I quit in 2003 and did not hit a note until 2009.

It has been a real struggle to get back to where I was. Thanks for all the
comments and feedback that I have received the last few months. I hope
that I can help you learn to play the pedal steel guitar.
Don't Forget the back-up tracks comes with each DVD!

The Back-Up Track is a MP3 on a CD By its self.

****2nd Annual Steelinar*****
"Saturday October 1st at 3pm east coast time".

If you missed this years Steelinar you can get the video. Wow we
had a great time this year. Learned a lot of Technique and right
hand technique, volume pedal and Bar technique. Learned how to
do bar slants and how to work with open strings.
Then we learned some stock intros and how to use that to get
yourself out of trouble on the bandstand. So you can still get the
video which is commercial free now. Take advantage of this
teaching. We also had a lot of fun, which makes learning easier ! !

What You Need To Use Skype

A simple Skype setup that works suprisingly well: a MacBook
Pro or a Windows Laptop or notebook with built in webcam.
No microphones needed! The mic is built in the notebook

•A fairly fast computer -- for best results, Skype recommends at
least a Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz processor. I have a 2 GHz machine
that is over two years old and it works great.

•The Skype program -- go to Skype.com to access the download
page. It's free!

•A webcam -- I have a built-in webcam on my HP Notebook
that works well. I've heard that the Logitech webcams for around
$35.  are more than adequate. It helps to have an adjustable
stand. That way you can really focus in on the hands and picks
during the first few lessons to make sure your basic playing
mechanics are sound.

•A decent broadband connection -- this is usually the weak link
in a typical Skype setup. Skype now recommends 512 kbps
upload speed for clear video.

We can also use a video chat room if you don't want to use
Skype. You still will need the things that was covered above.
